Lead Guide
The Lead Guide directs our children’s activities academically, emotionally, and physically. All of this is done in a prepared Montessori environment that is designed to challenge each child to reach his or her fullest potential. Additionally, our Lead Guide has the duty of maintaining the standards of quality and excellence that are called for in the guidelines and professional standards of the Association Montessori Internationale
Qualifications
Education: Minimum Bachelors; AMI diploma; classroom experience in a Montessori environment; current Red Cross First Aid and CPR card.
Classroom Assistant
Dedication to supporting the work of the Lead Guide is the basic attitude needed for an effective Classroom Assistant. The person selected for this position will be responsible for assisting a classroom guide in the general supervision and management of a class of children between the ages of two and six years of age. The assistant is to aid the Lead Guide in preparing and maintaining the classroom environment.
Qualifications
The Classroom Assistant must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, professional or personal experience with children, a current Red Cross First Aid and CPR card, and meet the requirements of the licensing agencies that regulate the school.
Substitute
The ideal Substitute will learn basic knowledge of all positions offered at Salado Montessori. This candidate would have availability to substitute within a day's notice and provide the skills listed above.
Qualifications
A Substitute must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, professional or personal experience with children, a current Red Cross First Aid and CPR card, and meet the requirements of the licensing agencies that regulate the school.
Office Administrator
The Office Administrator works in conjunction with the Director to perform routine office duties: making copies, using office machines, ordering supplies; as well as answering the phones, scheduling and administering tours and observations, writing the monthly newsletter, aiding in enrollment, attending weekly meetings, and assisting anywhere else needed in the school.
Qualifications
The Office Administrator must be 18 or older, have a high school diploma or its equivalent, professional or personal experience with children, a current Red Cross First Aid and CPR card, a general knowledge of computers and office machinery, and meet the requirements of the licensing agencies that regulate the school.
